Ledge 1,131
At the start of S75, I didn't think the Las Vegas Aces would be contenders this season. We had our whole first line, starting goalie, and best defenceman leave us for the VHL, so I thought we would be hurting enough from those losses to not do very well. But no, that was not the case, as we are now seeing in the standings after ten games of the regular season. The Aces are currently 7-2-1, an incredible record that has them in first place in the Western Conference. Some notable performances have been those of Angel Wachiure, who the Aces picked up in the 6th round, who has 13 points in 10 games. Connor Sim, a player that was added in the S74 draft, is also at 13 points. Finally, our captain and leading defenceman Matt Thunder has been fantastic, with 11 points in those games. An honorable mention goes out to Matthew A Sovick Jr., who has been a brick wall behind the Aces posting an .899 save percentage and a 2.46 goals against average, which is very good for a high scoring league such as the VHLM. Keeping this hot start in mind, I think we can predict a deep playoff run for the Aces this season, the second in two years. 215 words diacope 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/95740-aces-looking-for-redemption/ Share on other sites
