2nd year in the VHL. The prospect who was ranked #1 in the S74 draft class, but fell all the way to the Calgary Wranglers on the 11th pick of the S74 draft. Luke Thornton is having an impressive year, he who was named Captain of the Wranglers in his sophomore season.

He is near PPG this season, 23 points in 26 games. The playmaking powerfoward will probably hit 20 goals and if not 25 goals this season. He is also playing extremely well defensively on the second line and on the pk this season and has 109 hits so far, placing him top 5 in the league among the very best. We can include 8 blocked shots and 2 game-winning goals from his 7 goals. He will shatter all his stats from his rookie season and he might compete for the most improved player in the year if things keep going well.

Right now he is top 5 in his class for points this season and he's hoping that he could maybe hit 80 points this season if the catches on fire later in the season even though he is playing on the second line and maybe reach 300 hits, but his ultimate goal is to perform well in the playoff and win the cup.

We shall see how the season unfolds, the Calgary Wranglers are first place in the league competing for the Victory Cup and the league did them a big favor by letting them draft Luke Thornton so late in that draft. Accelerating the GM plans to compete for te cup.
