Volchenkov and King get ready for the draw, King wins it and attempts to dump it out of the zone but Magnum blocks his path, King tries to reroute but Magnum meets him at the boards with a big hit, the puck slides back to the point, Kankkunen gathers the loose rubber and skates to the middle of the ice, he wides up and fakes the shot once but re-aims it and launches it towards the Wolves goaltender, HE SCORES!

 

 

it's been 22 games since rookie defenseman Kasper Kankkunen scored a goal and many hockey fans believe now his hot start where he scored 9 in the first 17 was all luck, the superstitious fans don't believe it and they think the mighty BMA curse is working it's magic against the youngster. Kankkunen said this after losing against last game

 

"I kind of feel lost, nothing's working for me unless it's an icing or a missed shot, not being able to score a goal is weighing heavy on me.. Something needs to change because my current role has been compromised and blocked by adjusted strategies. Call it a curse or a lack of focus, either way I need to buckle up and go into next game with a refreshed attitude."
