Vsevolod Askarov - The Future of Goaltending (again)

CALGARY - Vsevolod Askarov is nothing short of amazing. The rookie goaltender has shown that he knows what he’s doing and that he can be a star goaltender in the future. While he has only played 7 games, he already has a shutout, 6 wins, and his only loss was an overtime game. He also has a 0.925 save percentage and has a goals-against average of 2.28.

 

“Yeah, it’s a shame I’m the only thing holding him back because Asky is phenomenal. I know I’ve said this time and time again but there is truly something special about him. I can’t wait to see how he does in the future. He truly is the goaltender of the future and I know he’s going to be a household name in the VHL.” Jacques Lafontaine said after an Askarov win. “I might even have to ask him for some tips. He’s so composed and calm when he plays and you know he’ll get you through.”
