Ventas got a reaction from DollarAndADream in Claimed:Alokin Alset Rookie Report [Reviewed]
    The Truth:
Alokin Alset is a right wing sniper hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa. An up and coming 19 year old, Alset is looking to make his mark on the world... the world of the Victory Hockey League. He is a tall son of a gun, standing at 6 foot 4 inches tall, and you can't teach that. He's also 207 pounds, making sure that when he gets bodied, he bodies right back.

    The Show Stopper:
Alset is a tough player, who excels at the offensive aspects of the game, focusing on scoring before anything else. If you need a goal to be scored, get it to Alokin Alset. He’s your guaranteed money-maker, rump-shaker goal scorer that you can always count on.

However, Alset also focuses on some defensive aspects of the game, only because he knows that the less his opponent has the puck, the more opportunities for scoring he'll get. Alset is not a puck-hog, and makes sure the focus is on the team winning, but believes that happens when he's the one in control. He's working on his passing, and believes that he can also make some nasty plays in order to make sure his team gets the W. All around, Alset is a great asset to have on the team because of his natural knack for offense, and his determination to succeed. He’s dominant once he has the puck and you won’t regret making a pass to him. Too often we worry if we should’ve shot or passed, but it’s always a good decision to pass to Alokin if there’s an opportunity to do so. You won’t be disappointed in the result.

    MUSCLE MILK!:
However, the young man from South Africa does worry about his board play. While he is a bigger player, he is often weak on the boards, sometimes losing out on scrums to get the puck. It’s not that he’s scared to go hard into the boards, it’s just that he worries about hurting himself during the deep play, and would rather be stationed out front, waiting to see if he can find a garbage goal to put home.

He's also terrible on the face-off circle, and hates when his center-man gets himself kicked out. That just puts him in a tough situation where he knows he won't get the puck for a bit. The timing needed for a perfect face-off win has never been his forte, and dislikes wasting time spent working on it when he could be perfecting his highlight reel shots and dekes.

Lastly, Alokin Alset needs to work on his endurance. He knows that he’s going to be a big name player, and in order to be that big name player, you need to be on the ice. A lot. He knows that he needs to work on his conditioning so that when he’s needed most, (aka all the time), he’s fresh and ready like a hot coffee to get out on the ice and scorch the opposing team.

    Do it:
Overall, Alset is a key piece that you want to pick up if you want your team to have any chance at succeeding on the ice.
