With little time and the next season around the corner, defender Kasper Kankkunen decided to spend those rare minutes attending and cheering on Team Europe in their semi final match up versus Team World. Things would start off great for the Europeans and they had a lot to cheer about scoring 4 unanswered goals in the 1st period, Kankkunen would tweet out "ODINSSON IS ON FIRE! THE GOLD IS GOING TO EUROPE BABY" while waiting in line for a beer, thankfully the old lady in front of him had to look for her grandson because minutes later the 2nd period siren would go off, in a hurry Kasper sprinted back to his seat, cutting through the crowds and didn't miss a second of action. 4 minutes later Team World try to strike on the penalty kill but lose the puck and give Team Europe a 3 on 0 opportunity where we see a stovetop hot Odinsson lift it top shelf to give his team a commanding 5-0 lead. 16 more minutes of hard hitting, grinding style hockey would go by and it looked like Team World had nothing left in their tank, hoping for a quick next period to end the embarrassment. At this point  Kankkunen has finished 10 beers and 2 poutines, he's passing in and out and fans take pictures with him but the 3rd period horn goes off and the die hard European fan was back in action, he wipes the drool off his face and starts to shout "EURIOE OF YEH! LETS GOOO! HOOOOO!". Shots flew back and forth for almost a period length of time and late in the game it looked like Team World was starting to gather momentum again but it was too late. Kankkunen grabbed one for the road and purchased a fresh Odinsson jersey on his way out the door, he tweeted out "I'll be back to cheer Team Europe on in their next match up 100% Great show of hockey boys". The off-season can be long and boring but it seemed like the London defender really enjoyed himself tonight watching Team Europe win 6-2 but who wouldn't when the team you cheer for shoots 64 times during the game!
