United Off to Hot Start

“Well, it’s kind of fun playing some high-event hockey like that,” London United winger The Terrible Trivium said following his team’s 2 and 0 start to the season. “I got a goal in each of the games, still developing chemistry with Lahts, and we got some impressive scoring depth this year.  Things are clicking, though I bet (goaltender Jacob) Tonn would like it if we tightened up a bit in our own end.”

 

So far,  the United look like a team that will ride or die with their offensive abilities. That’s not a bad thing with Mikko Lahtinen, a multiple time 100-plus point scorer, heading up the  top forward line. And as Trivium alluded to, this team has a surprising amount of depth. Centers Kevin King and Alec Volchenkov provide an effective, if underrated, offensive spine, while defenseman and team captain Kasper Kankkunen is off to a hot start with four points in those two games .
