Streu to Join Regina Pats | Vernon Vipers

BCHL Vernon Vipers super star Jonathan Ori has announced his decision to pursue the VHL for his future, he just finished his fifth and final season in the BCHL. For those unaware of the young star he was born in British Columbia, stands at 6'2" and weighs 189 pounds. He has become well known for his passing skills, speed, and puck handling but his goal scoring is still dangerous. Makes sense for someone who cites Adam Oates and Joe Thornton as his favorite players. Lets take a look at his numbers.

Season 1                           Season 2                       Season 3                       Season 4                      Season 5                       Totals:

52 games played        52 games played       52 games played      52 games played      52 games played       260 games played

105 points                   113 points                   116 points                  125 points                 136 points                  595 points

34 goals                      36 goals                     37 goals                    39 goals                    44 goals                     190 goals

71 assists                    77 assists                  79 assists                  86 assists                  92 assists                  405 assists

We asked Ori about why he only played 52 games every season when the BCHL plays more than that, he answered that it was a pacing thing for himself, and that he will be good to play all 72 games in the M and VHL. His numbers in the BCHL are pretty crazy, almost 600 points, almost 200 goals and just a smidge over 400 assists. His number in all three categories got better every season, Ori is expected to be in the season 78 VHLM draft and the season 79 VHL draft. Needles to say we're excited to see him join the league next season!!
