End of Season Bubble

The season is coming to a close and Riga is in a position where they could miss the playoffs. They are 5 points from a playoff spot with 1 game in hand. Malmo and HC Davos both have 65 points with 3 games remaining. They both have a max point total of 71. Riga, unfortunately, has 4 games left for a max of 68. This means that in order to eliminate Riga from the playoff bubble, Malmo or HC Davos has to just win 2 games. It's Deja vu for Justin Lose as this happened to him in his first ever season in the VHLM with the Philadelphia Reapers. The Reapers failed to clinch the final spot in the playoffs, which the eventual season 74 champions Miami Marauders won.

 

"It sucks being in this spot at the end of the season. Especially in a contract season. I played horrible and I'm not even going to be able to match my rookie season score-line. I guess the sophomore slump is true even in the VHL. I'm hoping that I can stay with Riga, but if there is no plan for me here then I will have to explore my options. I said that I would bring a cup to Riga and I want to keep that promise."
