Banackock 8,044
It's been a fairly decent week. I finished up my 10 day shift at work and started 5 days off. It's always an amazing feeling to finally be done, step away from all things that come with being at work and having some days for yourself. I went fishing around the mountains and did some river hopping and logged over 30,000 steps onto my Fitbit versa 2. I'm pretty sure that's a good little but for venturing around some rivers and creeks. Then, the playoffs were underway for the Seattle Bears and we were playing the Legion. We knew it was going to be a big, well fought series and it could of probably went anyway. Today, I am relaxing, hopefully not leaving my PJ's for too long, drinking some beers, playing some games and watching the Oiler game later on. Now, with that blabbing out of the way, let's get down to the true blab. In Season 68, the Seattle Bears were down 2-0 to Toronto in the first round. We made some line changes and went on to win the next 12 games straight and hoist our first of four Continental Cups in the next six seasons. This season, the Bears were down 0-2 to the Toronto Legion. At this point, I figured Toronto was going to win. They've done a great job building their team and are a good group of active people on the league. I have an issue with zero of them and give full respect to the team. We made line changes for games 3-4. We tried two different, similar styles of lines for 3/4 to see how they would play out. I expected 0-2 sweep because STHs loves to be sneaky, or 1-1 split. We actually won both. 2-2 series. I flipped in the lines that I liked the most from the Games 3/4 splits and we went up 3-2 after a game 5 W. I had a small feeling to take a look at see if I could make minor tweaks to further improve, but with our best scorer getting in 3 fights and barely playing, I felt confident, especially with the 1 game lead, that we could roll on with these lines. 4-2 series Bears. Helsinki plays Warsaw. I predicted this in the Seattle locker room and it's the showdown that is going to be the best fought with biggest talent in my opinion. Both teams are full to the brim with great players. Seattle and LA might be a good series, but to me it's Kong V Godzilla in the Euro division. I could be wrong with HSK and LA/SEA very close, but to me that series just gives off PPV vibes. Good luck to both GM's and teams SBA things are going good. Figured I'd write something about them as I've enjoyed the league. What I've mostly enjoyed about the league is the people I've interacted with. My SBDL contracted this season and I've become an FA in the minors. It's given me the opportunity to speak to a lot of the managers and even after making a choice, have continued to do so. Hoping I can somewhat keep up with things and make a decent player. BANA OUT +2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/102694-bana-blab-12/ Share on other sites
