Viper 530
Jakub Brozik's Life As a child, Jakub Brozik was introduced to hockey by his older brother, Michal Brozik. Jakub was fascinated by not the NHL, but the VHL. It was like he had fallen in love with the league. His favorite team as a child was the New York Americans. However, when the Prague Phantoms were introduced, he immediently fell in love with them. Finally, a local team around to go to games, Jakub felt at home with the addition of this team. He felt like the Czech Republic was blessed with this hockey team. However, our story starts when Jakub was age 11... At 11 years old, living in Liberec, Czechia, Jakub would try out for his local youth bronze league. After making the cut, he would put up 15 points in 24 games. Not much for scoring, he loved to feed his teammates the puck. In the post-season, he would produce 6 points in 5 games, all assists. However, when reaching the age of 12, he was kicked off the team to make room for younger players. So, Jakub tried out for the silver league, and just barely snuck onto his team. However, Jakub's skating suffered due to lack of time on the ice that season. Whenever he'd play, Jakub would have a tough time competing. The silver league was too much for Jakub, so they cut him. While unplaying, Jakub and his brother would play on a pond outside of their house. There, his brother would help him better his skating to then re-try the silver league. This time, however, he was denied by the silver league, but approached by the gold league. Jakub would produce 21 points in 32 games in this league, leading his team with 18 assists. Jakub would return to this league for the next 4 years, up until he was 17 years of age. He then got signed by the Frolunda Indians of the SHL. There, he would produce 16 points in 29 games. They had no plans on playing Jakub full time, as for he was just 17 years old at the time. They would only play him when needed or if he got the approval from his school administration staff. For the next 3 years, Jakub would be on Frolunda and produce a total of 62 points in 127 games. Totalling 52 assists total. Now, Jakub is 21 years old and has decided to declare for the VHLM draft. Hoping to fufill a lifelong dream, we wait and see where he ends up at the end of the day. Good luck, Brozik.
