Eagles slow out of the gate

Another season and another slow start for Tom Eagles. He is currently sitting at 12 points in 13 games with 40 hits and 28 shots blocked.

While looking at his stats, most people might think differently but Tom definitely had higher expectations.

 

"With all the training I put into the off-season, I definitely expected more out of myself. I wanted to be at minimum a point per game and definitely more blocked shots. " said Tom " I am getting the chances, I just can't seem to finish on the offensive side. With the shots blocked, last season I was laying my body down a lot more but for whatever reason, I have been avoiding it this season"

It is still early in the season and we expect Tom to pick up the pace.

Calgary is currently sitting near the bottom of the standings and that is not a spot the team wants to be in.

 

" We shouldn't be at the bottom, we are a playoff team and we expect to get into the playoffs this season " Tom continued " Anything but a playoff appearance will be a bust. We as players expect to be there, our fans expect us to be there and our coaching team as well. We can't let ourselves or them down"
