Telkers season for Malmo so far has been anything but underwhelming. He’s top 10 in the league in multiple categories, including game winners, power play goals, hat tricks, and shots. While all of these would be considered secondary categories, or to put it bluntly, not goals or assists. But Telker is just showing glimpses of what he truly could become on a contending team. He still has an impressive 47 points in 37 games. If you just took a glance at the Nighthawks top 5 scorers, you would think to yourself, “oh yeah, this must be a playoff team at least.” While that is true since they hold the #5 spot in the EU, it also shows the lack of high octane players, and depth on Malmo, compared to some other players and teams in the league. Things should be turning around shortly for young kids in Malmo, all it would take is one more successful off-season, and Malmo could be ready to shoot for the playoffs next season, and hopefully build themselves into a contending team.
