Peace 1,562
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Kyle Peace has played six games in the VHLM already, but his impact was felt almost immediately as the young forward recorded two goals -- including the game winning goal -- in his first VHLM game against the Mississauga Hounds. It was a zero-zero tie nearly thirty three minutes into the game when Kyle Peace intercepted a pass from Hounds' Baby Bob, chipped it back to Vinny Detroit as the play started to develop across the neutral zone. Onside. Detroit over to Peace, Kyle takes the shot! And it missed the net. Don't worry though, Peace Jr collected his own mistake, skates into the slot and wires a shot home. Goal. 1-0 Miami after a defensive zone turnover by the goal scorer, but it wouldn't last long enough to enjoy it. Mississauga tied the game up at just a few minutes later when Andrew Whitemore retrieved a loose puck and fired it towards Flex. It found it's way in and both clubs go back to the dressing rooms tied at one. Third period. Jason Deramo wins the faceoff against Nathaniel Minion, received by Peepants, who moves the puck into the Hounds' zone. Less than five seconds have expired from the clock when the puck was dropped to String Chameleon, then back to Peepants, who finds an open Peace for a quick goal. It's 2-1 Miami just ten seconds into the third period, and that was good enough for the Marauders' as they held onto that lead. Kyle Peace would finish the game with just fourteen minutes of ice time, an average throughout his six games with Miami thus far, but he's certainly made the best out of it. A game winning goal in his debut. His debut represents the best start the Peace Player Agency has ever had, and for a kid looking to step out of his fathers' shadow, it's an excellent beginning.
