Here we are back after only a few weeks this time and hours away from the start of the second round of the play-offs with Malmo Nighthawks coming from behind to surprise the Helsinki Titans in five games during the wild card round of the play-offs. Once again we still down with Prague Forward Robert Bouchard for his thoughts on the season and what he foresees heading into the play-offs.

After we last talked you seemed to find the net a bit more often; what changed and can you continue this hot hand heading into your play-off series against London?

“Yes, I had a string of great games with my first two career hatricks It was amazing as it just seemed like everything that I was putting towards the net was going in. “

He continued by adding, “It look like some of the smaller aspect of my training finally paid off towards the end of the season. I was happy finally to start producing closer to what I know I am capable and even managed to hit all my personal season goals. Getting career highs in all my stats and finally getting the points per game level means that I am looking forward to the play-offs as I think I am going to have a good one.”

Landry II also managed to get his six hundred point in the final game of the regular season; What does that mean to team and yourself?

“It was huge as he is a career player here in Prague and will always be one of the great players for the team but to hit that mile stone is something extra special when you know it is your last regular season game. I can only hope to have such a career as Landry II had. We knew he was close as we did talk about it in the Locker room with a few games left. I think he needed four points in the final two or three games so we all stated that we would try to set him up as much as possible so it was a big deal for the team that he managed that career milestone.”

First Round of the Play-off start in a few days and you have known for a few weeks that you would be facing London, Did you do anything extra to prepare for them?

“No, But the break from the end of the season until now has been tough as we are used to playing the Wild card games. It nice not playing that round but break has been tough. It might be hard to get going in the first few shifts but it will be exciting to be back on the ice. London is clearly the favourites in the series as they took the season series against us so hopefully we can get a early jump and your team depth comes through”

Once again thank you for your time and good luck in the Play-offs.
