Bojovnik 487
The end of the season is approaching, with the Founder’s Cup in the books and the Continental Cup set to be awarded, which means that the VHL and VHLM drafts are on the horizon. Jan Hlozek, the eighth overall pick in the S77 draft, issued a statement telling prospective draft picks to make sure they enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience. “The experience of being drafted is like no other. There’s only one time that you get to sit their with the excitement and anticipation of finding out where you’re set to go, so enjoy it,” Hlozek said. The Czech blueliner also told prospective draft picks not to get disheartened if they don’t end up on the team that they wished, saying that it’s their responsibility to make the environment one they enjoy. “Look, I was pretty down when I found out that I got drafted by Miami in the VHLM. I wanted to spend another season with Saskatoon as the guys there were great, but in the end, Miami turned out to be a fantastic team and we went on to win the Founder’s Cup in S78. You can never guess how the season will turn out, so just keep on pulling on the rope and good things will happen,” Hlozek stated.
