Marshall James Frostbeard addresses media about the last few seasons of his career:

"Hello. I would like to firstly say that I have had an opportunity to play in three Continental cup finals and that itself makes my career a success. Winning with 2 different teams - helping Malmo Nighthawks, a team that drafted me win their first cup makes me extremely happy, writing history is just brilliant and of course playing with Seattle Bears, winning that second cup with a team my uncle John Frostbeard player with and won 2 consecutive cups is just brilliant and exciting. I understand that I am slowly falling off and even though I believe I am still capable to be that scoring Top 4 Defenceman, I know that my body has limitations and I think that this and next season are going to be my last, I can't push myself any longer and for me off-seasons just seem to get shorter and shorter each time."

Before leaving the press conference, Marshall was asked if there is anyone of Frostbeard family that might come to VHL after his retirement:

"I am unsure at this point, John Frostbeard has a son that might be making VHL but at this point it seems he is a lot more interested in pursuing his music career rather than spend hours training. There are plenty of Latvian players though, players that are extremely talented. I am excited and hoping that the future holds a lot for many of those and I hope we will see many of them become the future in VHL and VHLM."

Marshall afterwards excused himself as he received a call from his agent about come upcoming news.
