Welcome back to part 2! Today this part will be shorter as we only have two players to look, that being the overlapping defense-men that played on both championship rosters, without further ado lets get going.

S64&65 Defense-men

Tzuyu

VHLM: Ottawa Lynx-Halifax 21st

Starting off we don't have a defense-men but rather a defense-woman, Tzuyu had quite the career and I hope your ready for me to cover it. Tzuyu joined very, very late into season 61, and I mean so late she only got 6 games in the regular season before they went to the playoffs. Full credit to her she got two assists and was a plus one. In the post season she played five games netter herself three points, two of them goals. Considering the short time she had to adjust herself to the M I'd say she did just fine. With a full off-season to be ready for next season she was drafted by Halifax in season 62, third overall, right ahead of goalie Kallis Kriketers. Getting to play a full season now she scored 32 goals and 50 assists for 82 points, she had 110 hits, 85 shots blocked and noticeably 229 shots. In the playoffs Halifax went eight games deep, she got five points with three of them being goals. I think it's fair to say at this point she is a strong offensive blue liner.

I don't normally do this but I would like to note she played a lot in the WC, playing in S62, S64, S66, S68 and S70, a totals of 50 games. She netted 8 goals, 4 of them on the power play, 24 assists for 32 points. 41 hits and 82 shots blocked in the regular season. Playoffs she scored 4 goals, 9 assists for 13 points in 12 games. She was also in the S62 WJHC where she played the 8 games got seven points, 6 of them being helpers. In the playoffs in just 2 games she got 5 points, 2 goals 3 passers.

VHL: Toronto Legion-Vancouver Wolves

Drafted fifth overall in the VHL in season 63 by the Toronto Legion with a pick they acquired from the Seattle Bears, Tzuyu would go on to be a valuable blue liner for many seasons to come. In her rookie season in S63 she scored 13 goals, 44 assists for 57 points. Great for a rookie blue liner, she had 179 shots taken that season. The team made the playoffs that season where she would only play two games and net two assists with only three shots on net. Next season saw her hit a career high in goals, only one of two times she would pass the 20 goal mark and her third highest in points. 23 goals, 51 assists for 74 points. No sophomore jinx here. This was also the first season of five total where she had 200 plus shots on net, 203 to be exact. S64 would prove to be Tzuyu's best in the post season, playing 12 games, netting 4 goals, 12 assists for 16 points and putting 57 shots on goals. None of her other playoff performances really come close to this one, and of course they won their first of two back to back cups. Like I've said before season 65 for the Toronto Legion just seemed to be a season where every player decided they were going to have their career year that season. Tzuyu had her best assists and points season this year, 21 goals, 11 of which were on the power play, 66 assists for 87 points, amazingly she only had 185 shots on net which is her third lowest but she still had her second best goal scoring season. Another 12 playoffs games, another cup, this time with 2 goals and 7 assists and 40 shots. Besides just getting another cup she also won the Alexander Valiq Trophy for best offensive blue liner.

Her next three seasons she scored about a point a game or a little above it. S66 she had her most shots on net at 260, 19 goals, 54 assists for 73 points, the team missed the plyoffs which was the only time it happened in her career. S67 13 goals, 59 assists for 72 points, 207 shots on net. Post season one goal and 5 assists with just 9 shots on goal. S67 did see the Toronto Legion win the Victory cup. S68 saw her have her second best points scoring season, reaching 76 with 18 goals and 58 assists, 215 shots on net. Side note this was the only season she end with a negative in the plus minus, being a -1. After the regular season she had just three assists in 6 games and 22 shots. S69 would be her last in a Legion uniform and her play was starting to drop off. Goal wise she stayed right around where you'd expect, 19 goals but only 37 assists for 56 points. 208 shots on net. Playoffs the team went 7 games deep where she got one goal and three points with 15 shots. With Toronto entering a rebuild I imagine Tzuyu was moved out so she had a chance to win one last cup, she ended up in another Canadian team across the country, the Vancouver Wolves. Her least productive year saw her get 17 goals, 32 assists for for 49 points, and her least amount of shots on net at 174. Her last season also saw her get way more physical, perhaps with her slowing down as he threw the most hits in her career at 186, 78 more than her next closest, and her most penalty minutes at 128, 58 more than the next closest. In her last playoff appearance she played five game and scored one goal and two assists. Just four shots on net. A great blue liner and very important to those cup wins, could expect close to 20 goals each season about a point per game pace, you could also expect  a lot of shots on net, she took a total of 1631 in her career.

Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette

VHLM: Yukon Rush

So like with Evan R. Lawson the VHLM stats aren't on the page for Luc, and I am just going to call him Luc for this because god damn is that a long name. What I did find out is that he was a S58 draft pick, picked third overall by the Yukon Rush with a pick they got from Saskatoon. That's all I know.

VHL: Quebec Meute-Toronto Legion

After what I presume was two or three seasons playing in the VHLM Luc moved up to the VHL in S60. He was drafted by the New York Americans in S59 but I presume was traded to Quebec sometime during S59. In his rookie season the blue liner scored 5 goals and 17 assist for 22 points, this would actually end up being his second best season in terms of points. What we really need to look at through his career are his penalty minutes, hits and shot blocks. 249 PIM in his rookie season which would be third most in his career, 307 hits which is the highest in his career and the only time he passed 300, and 179 blocked shots which is also the highest in his career. So right away Luc has established himself as a tough no none sense kind of guy who will throw down. No playoffs for Quebec that season. It's already kind crazy to see that Luc has set some numbers that he won't match for the rest of his career. S61 was his best season in points, both in terms of goals and assists. 8 goals, half of them on the power play, 26 assists for 34 points. 191 penalty minutes, 265 hits, and 144 shots blocked. in his first playoff appearance he scored no points in five games, had 2 minutes in the box, 11 hits and 12 shot blocks. Season 62 saw the last time he would hit 20 plus points, scoring 21, 3 goals and 18 assists. 194 minutes in the sin bin, 231 hits and 108 shots blocked, the last two there were both career lows. In the post season for the second time he scored his first points, two assists. 65 penalty minutes, 50 hits and 18 shots blocked, all of this in 14 games as the Meute would make the finals but loose out to the Calgary Wranglers. In his last season in Quebec Luc put up 2 goals and 16 assists for 18 points, 160 penalty minutes which is a career low, 252 hits and 118 puck blocked. 7 post season games saw him net just one goal with 28 PIM, 19 hits, and 13 shots blocked.

Luc wouldn't have to move across the country like Tzuyu did as he headed to Toronto to help on the blue line. Bringing grit to Toronto's defense core in S64 he scored 6 goals and 12 assists for again 18 points. His time in the sin box jumped up to it's career highest of 294 minutes, getting close to double what he had last season. 257 hits and 141 pucks blocked. In his first playoffs with Toronto they played the 12 games and won that first cup, which must have felt great for Luc after coming so close two seasons ago. One goal and five assists for five points to go along with 48 minutes in the penalty box, 61 hits, and 31 shots blocked, all career highs for him in the post season. In the follow up season Luc had his lowest production points wise, with just 13, 10 of which were helpers. another 222 sin bin mins to his career, 291 hits for his third highest and 151 shots blocked, ditto for what I said with the last one. In what would become his last post season appearance he scored two assists in the 12 games, 47 PIM, 54 hits, and 19 shots blocked. At least he went out on a high note in the post season winning his second ever cup. In his final season in the VHL he manged three more points than last year, same amount of goals but three extra assists. His last year saw him have a lot of second place career highs, 256 penalty minutes, 293 hits, and 152 shots blocked all fall under that second best for him. Like I said before, no post season action. To recap the PIM, hits and blocks, he had 1566 total penalty minutes in his career, 1896 hits thrown and 993 shots blocked. Luc was a blue liner who stood up for teammates and throw done to wake up his team.

(Word count 1,790, didn't think I'd get this much out of two players lol)
