S79 The Calm Before The E League Storm

S79 will go down in history regardless of who wins what award or what teams hoist their respective Continental and Founders (Commissioners? Lol) Cup. Why you ask? Well the answer is obvious I'm just filling words because Fan590 on mobile is annoying. S79 is the end of an era truly for this league.

 

S80 brings with it the E league and for the first time ever, a third league. The format of the M has actually changed quite a lot over the seasons, as it's function grew and evolved. There was a time just before I joined where M was affiliated with the bigs AHL style. But we've never experimented with a middle league concept before. 

 

Something tells me the off-season after S79 is going to go down as one of the busiest in our history with new franchises coming in, and both the M and VHL proper having to deal with what the new progression for players means for depth charts and team parity. It's the kind of shake up where everyone might have an idea of how their team is affected in the interim, but the longer term affects to the player pipeline creates some unpaved grounds. Which generally means uncertainty. 

 

So enjoy the bustling off season now for as active as things seem, the true chaos awaits.
