I think it would be even better if you picked a team that matched up with the players jersey. It would keep all the colors to be near the same and be a really well blending graphic. You could also add a slight jersey swap and have a little bit of the logo visible. Nice little text effect there and of course you have included the teams logo as the background. Overall simple and good. I know a lo of people are not fans of frames, but I kinda would love a frame on this ad banner, but that is the only thing I would like to change.
