Vice 404
Name: Cadmael Ixazaluoh (EEchaza-LOO-oh) Age: 18 Birthdate: June 7th Birthplace: Uaxactun, Guatemala Height: 6'5" Weight: 240 lbs. Position: Defenseman Entering the draft pool from an unusual pipeline, Cadmael Ixazaluoh is a player that hails from the jungles of Central America. His only experience in sports, being the cultural game of sport the Mayan people played in their spare time. This sport is very physical and has very simple rules. As a result, Cadmael is extremely effective in the areas that involve his expertise. The game of pitz, requires players to keep a ball away from the opposing team. This was able to translate to puck handling and reading the oppositions next moves. He is practically written to keep the puck away from the opposing forwards and to take it back by any means. Pitz also requires the player to establish passing lanes in order for the attackers to shoot the ball through a stone hoop. Ixazaluoh can establish some mean passing lanes, feeding forwards and other defenders for clean shots. With the right receptive forwards, Cadmael can, in-effect, act as a secondary playmaker on your D-line. However, his lack of hockey experience comes with some disadvantages: he lacks hockey game sense, and as a result will need some time to adapt and learn hockey culture. His attitude tends to be very bland and straight-forward, something other more outgoing players might poke fun at. Cadmael tends to be very critical of teammates performance, not because of a dislike or hatred for the teammate, but because in his culture, lying is considered extremely rude. So not much is sugar-coated. Overall, Cadmael could be an outstanding addition to a team needing to establish more options for potent forwards. Despite his personality in the locker room, somehow Cadmael maintains an active and persistent media presence. He has consistently been on time with press conference meetings, practice time, and seems to be a very responsible person quite against what you would expect from him. He is receptive to his coaching especially, seeming to have a reverence-type of respect for his coaches and GMs. This seems to be a cultural thing but plays nicely into coaching him. He can be quite aloof at game time with the constant attention from fans and the on-goings of the arena. There have been times where Cadmael was more interested in what was happening with the mascot or the jumbotron, than what's happening in the game. While he means well, he can get distracted quite easily. PROS: Effective passer Physical Obsessive over puck control Shot blocker CONS: Hockey knowledge lacking Crude personality Un-coordinated: Cadmael is not well-balanced on skates yet. Easily distracted Grosgars, SpicyGecko, Ledge and 3 others 6 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/109173-cadmael-ixazaluoh-scouting-report/ Share on other sites
