Powers Talks Season, Expiring Deal

Season 80 is well underway. The Prague Phantoms are 13-11-1, good for fourth in the European Conference. 
 

Second-year player Nicholas Mariani leads the team in assists (29) and points (45) and is tied for the lead in goals (16) with centers Robert Bouchard and Venus Thightrap. 
 

“He’s been on fire, taken a big step forward and has been one of our best players this season.” 
 

Powers has 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 25 games so far this season. He has blocked 72 shots, tied for ninth league-wide.
 

“Always room to improve, obviously. Glad the team is doing well lately and any way I can help the team is what I will do. I focus on defense first, then hope to add some offense.” 
 

Powers is also in his first contract season. When asked about the looming decision, he quickly deflected the question.

 

”I’m not really thinking about that at the moment. We have a good group this season and I just want to play my best for the team right now. I love it here in Prague and I love being a Phantom.”
