SpicyGecko 100
Welcome back to Inside the Mind, a column written by Darsh Albesh that takes a deep dive into the VHLM and the home team of the Philadelphia Reapers. In this edition, Reapers GM Alex J tells us what was going through his mind when making his recent trades as well as his thoughts on his team's performance. The Reapers continue to add to their roster signing Sebastien dokis, Ben Moinet, Dylan Powers, and Ayomide Ayodele. Their roster is quickly filling up with only a handful of spots left for any more signings. Two weeks ago, GM Alex announced a trade which saw Philadelphia acquire Goalie Ali Des Alves and Center Alex TheGreat in return for long-time Reaper Connor Wilson. Last week, GM Alex acquired Defensemen Jp in return for a pair of draft picks. More recently, brothers Daniel and Marcel Jancer were acquired from Mississauga for a pair of draft picks. Ali Des Alves has already proven himself going 14-9-2 in 25 games with 859 saves on 953 shots for a 0.891 save percentage and 3.71 goals against average which is quite the improvement from the AI goalie the Reapers had in net previously. Alex TheGreat has put up some points since arriving in Philadelphia with 16 points in 25 games while Jp has 8 points in 16 games. Daniel and Marcel have both played only 4 games with 5 and 3 points respectively. GM Alex declined to comment on any trade rumors but was confident in the players he acquired. "With each of my trades I addressed a team need, filling gaps at center, defense, and in goal. Each of the players I traded for I knew that they would be great for us both on the ice and in the locker room" The Reapers need to keep their success going if they want to make the playoffs this year, they currently sit 3rd in the Eastern Conference with only 2 points separating Halifax, Philadelphia, and Miami. "Making the playoffs would be huge for this group and I think it is certainly attainable at this point! I have to attribute this recent success to all of our players, they have all had a great season so far and I know they will all only get better as the season goes on. I think we have a real chance to not just make the playoffs, but potentially pull off an upset or 2 as well." With the trade deadline fast approaching and the teams getting close to the halfway point it will be interesting to see where the Reapers are in the standings at the end of the week, it continues to be a tough fight for a playoff spot in the East and there are plenty of games left in the season. Join us next time on Inside The Mind where we will take another deep dive into the VHLM and the Philadelphia Reapers. Lemorse7 1,014
Review: Love the inside the mind series it’s refreshing. I like how it’s super easy to read and easy to see who is the interviewer and the person being interview. Only thing is the white on white text at the end I had a little difficult time trying to read that. It’s probably not much but it’s help the readers a lot. 9/10 In resume it’s easy to read (exciting the last part) and easy on the eyes too. I know people love to see a picture with the article so maybe a little picture to add in the next one is a idea. Love to read from you and looking forward for the next chapter of this series.
