osens 297
Oh Sens, former Toronto Legion, Riga Reign, and Helsinki Titans player, has been in retirement for a few years. While he was in the league, at the start of his VHL career he was a kid who brought a lot of trouble with him, but with years he got quieter and he grew into a pretty talented VHL player that scored a lot of goals and was well respected. He spent almost all of his career in Toronto, but it is interesting, where is this troubled soul now? Oh Sens new whip after his career. Don't have to find the answer far, Oh Sens from Japan has moved to Miami, where he started his VHLM career together with Marauders. In his rookie season, he got in quite a drug scandal with Miami police and newspaper, but he didn't want to comment on any of those allegations. When we met with Sens, he told us that he does "stuff", and he is well fed. Quite mysterious, but he arrived in the restaurant (where we had the talk) in a black limo with 4 bodyguards and quite a younger girl. He told, that his hockey days are over and he has devoted himself to something bigger and more profitable. Again, he didn't want to say anything more specific, but he told that he still goes to Marauders games and cheers on them. One specific player that had caught his eyes was last season's Omi Aberg, he told about him: "I see a lot of myself in him, but only good things." And he really does appear to be special. He is performing greatly and not a lot of players can stop him in offense, but he can stop quite a lot of players in defense. Sens shared a time, that he got offered a coaching gig with some children's team - "It was a quite fun time, I came out of my last season with Riga, I went back here to Miami and was chilling and one day I get a call - Hey bud, maybe you want to come and coach children, you were a really good hockey player. I hanged up immediately, they think that I am going to be patient enough to not go screaming at those children when they do something wrong? I'm sorry, I have a different line of work already, hockey train has already gone for me." It's really weird that he chose Miami out of all places to settle, even though he spent most of his career in Toronto, but as he said - the weather is much better in Miami compared to Toronto so it was an easy decision for him and his family. Oh Sens was an awesome player tied with controversial parts of his career but looks like he is doing great even after his career, even though his line of work is so secret that you would think he could be a spy (maybe?), it would be great to see him as a coach in some VHL team but looks like it's not in his near future plans.
