The end of the regular season is approaching fast and the brother Janser have played an other two games since we reported last from their adventures overseas. This time they played against Mexico City Kings and the Yukon Rush.

The first game was won by the Reapers with 5-3. Iaxzaluoh took a very early penalty for goalie interference. After half of the penalty was killed by the Reapers, the Kings scored the first goal of the game. However, a mere 16 seconds later, Bernier converted on Marcel's pin-point pass and made the score 1-1. At the beginning of the second, Philly scored two back-to-back goals by Jones and Lamb (the latter on a power play), before Kopeloi scored for the Kings again (also in power play). The last goal of the period went to the Reapers though when Mursu scored his 26th (and first game winning) goal of the season, assisted by Marcel and AL. The last period was a 1-1 draw and the goal for the Pennsylvanian franchise was scored by Jones assisted by Anderson. Newly acquired netminder Arpa showed a decent performance with .870 saving rate and outclassed Kings' Hank (.781). The power play was okay (1/4) the penalty kill could have been better (2/7).The three stars went to Jones (2g/1a), Kopeloi (1g/2a) and Sanderson (0g/2a).

Marcel had 0g, 2a, +2 and 2 blocked shots (tied first of the team)

Daniel was noted with 0g, 0a, and +2

The second game against the undisputed leader of the league was lost 7-6 in a very dramatic and hence entertaining game (not so much for the coaches, but hey not everyone can be a winner). The first period went 4-3 to the Reapers and the tides of battled shifted several times. Rush made it first on the score board, but Philadelphia answered with two consecutive goals by Bernier, assisted by Marcel and theGreat for the first as well as Mursu and Marcel on the second one,  just to be equalized again. Then the Reapers scored two back-to-back goals by Bernier assisted by AL and Mursu and Sanderson, assisted Daniel and Iaxazaluoh, which Yukon answered with a goal of their own. Unfortunately, this was but the first of five goals in a row for the Alaskan team which ultimately broke the Reapers' neck. Alas, the Philadelphia team never gave up and scored two goals against nil in the last period. These goals were scored by Lamb (Dokis, Simeoni) and TheGreat (Iaxazaluoh, Marcel). The root of the defeat can be found in the special teams. While the power play was inexistent (0/6) the penalty kill was desastrous (2/5). What is a source of consolation is that the Reapers still gave the best team of the league a run for their money and that on even strength they were more than a match for the Northerners. Arpa was yet again better than his opposite number (.811 vs .806). The three stars went to Bernier (3g/0a), Marcel (0g/3a) and Mursu (0g/2a).

Marcel recorded 0g, 3a, +3 and 4 PIM (double minor for roughing, which led to a power play goal)

Daniel had 0g, 1a and -2

The Philadelphians cemented their 7th rank. The next matches will be against Mexico and Saskatoon and we are confident that the Reapers will reap four points from said games.

The Jansers' stats are as follows:

Marcel: 57gp, 13g, 35a, 48pts, -2, 44 PIM, 62 hits, 120sb (top of the league), 1gwg, 6ppg

Daniel: 57gp, 30g, 31a, 61pts, -15, 40 PIM, 121 hits, 25sb, 4gwg, 8ppg, 1shg
