Leduc meet is first vhl scout

Leduc was finishing practice when he heard someone call his name. He quickly turned around and saw someone who was waving at him so he began to skate in his direction. It was a Vhl scout who wanted to ask Leduc some questions. 

 

Vhl Scout: Hello Leduc I am a VHL scout and I was keeping a really close eye on you this season. Do you mind if I ask a couple of questions? 

 

Leduc: Hello mister scout I think I got 5 minutes before the coach calls for the start of the practice. 

 

Vhl Scout: You’re doing pretty well in Yukon this season. What is the difference between playing with Yukon in the VHLM  and playing with the Warriors in the junior showcase? 

 

Leduc: Well I think for me the showcase was more of a training camp. Each league has their own little difference and you need time to adapt with those. The showcase really helped me with that. If the showcase didn’t happen I’m pretty sure I would not be playing that good at this moment. 

 

Vhl Scout: I think you heard the rumors with you being possibly a first round pick. How do you feel about that? 

 

Leduc: I was so stocked when I saw that for the first time. Being a middle fourth round pick, I don’t want to say it triggers me but it did a bit. I use that to my advantage to push myself every single day since that draft and now I am proud to say that it is almost mission accomplished, since the VHL draft is still a couple of weeks away. I think I can be in the top 10 picks in the draft.

Coach: Leduc stop talking with that scout and bring your ass here. 

 

Leduc: Gotta go cya
