It was a brisk, windy Friday evening in Halifax and Geeves Villeneuve was sitting in a Boston Pizza Lounge with one of his friends having fun and drinking until he couldn't feel the cold anymore. After about 4 fishbowls (a triple highball in a literal fishbowl) they both swayed their way over to the pool table bumping into tables and people along the way. At the pool table they heard a woman's voice shout over the noise of the crowd "Whoever can beat me in a game of pool can be the next AGM of the Halifax 21st." A crowd immediately swarmed around the table to spectate the games. Villeneuve took a while to clue into what was going on, he recognized the woman from sports interviews on TV but thought there was no way it was actually the GM of Halifax and if it was then what is she doing here of all places?

Villeneuve's friend tried to encourage him to partake in the competition but with how drunk he was he wasn't even sure he could pick up a cue. Eventually he was pushed into the middle of the crowd at the end of a match. Villeneuve happened to be a snookers champion back in France so he was pretty confident once he picked up the cue. He looked up to see his opponent @Brewins15putting chalk on her cue, she was stone sober but her confidence was sky high after beating 5 other people. Villeneuve was unsure of how well he would play in his current state but put all his effort into it anyway. After 20 minutes of sweat, chanting crowds and extreme luck on Villeneuve's side it came down to one ball each plus the 8 ball and it was Villeneuve's turn. He lines it up but fluffs on the shot barely nicking his target, his opponent was up, she lines it up and hits her target into the pocket. When she tries to go for the 8 ball she hits it but misses the pocket, Villeneuve was up, he strikes perfectly sinking his target, he then goes for the 8 ball "right corner pocket!" he shouts. He strikes perfectly and sinks it in. The crowd goes insane and Villeneuve was overcome with joy, he stumbles over to his friend and they celebrate with a few more fishbowls. They both leave the bar and stumble home chatting about the epic match and how there was no way that was the actual GM of the Halifax 21st.

The next morning Villeneuve felt sore and had a massive headache from the night before. He vaguely remembers some of the events that transpired but shrugs and draws it up as another fun night. Later that week he gets a call from an unknown number, suspicious that it might be a scam caller he lets it go to voicemail. Later that day he listens to the message to see what scam they came up with this time.

"Yo Geeves, it's me, the GM of the Halifax 21st. Do you remember me from Boston Pizza a few nights ago? Anyway, you beat me fair and square in that game of pool and I am a person of my word so the Assistant GM job for Halifax is yours if you want it, you can call me back and we can talk about the details. If you're wondering how I got your number, don't worry about it, I have my connections."

Villeneuve was taken back, he had not expected this at all but was ecstatic for the opportunity and called her back immediately. They worked out the details and Geeves Villeneuve was the official AGM of the Halifax 21st. It was been just over a week since the official hiring and Villeneuve has been hard at work interacting with the players, conducting press conferences and discussing with the GM the best courses of action for the team. He has not taken this position lightly and plans on giving everything he can to this team. His message everyone is "Just say yes, push aside your fears and whatever is holding you back and just go for it, you will achieve things you never thought were possible to achieve."

Review:  One of my favorite articles ever!  What a hilarious and clever way to describe how the user got the AGM position.  Well done!  Good pacing, grammar, spelling, and all that.  Thought putting the phone message in blue was a nice tough.  Set the important news off from everything else.  Thanks for this!  10/10

Great work!!! The article is well done you had a great idea writing about that it’s pretty funny. I love all the aspect like, the description of the pool games, the two different characters and their psychological threat. The article is well structured with both players having different color for interaction and the photo at the top adding a little spice or the cherry on the Sunday. 9.999/10
