Vasteras Takes the Lead

Recently, the Vasteras Iron Eagles looked to be in trouble early, as they went down 2-0 in their series against the Stockholm Vikings. Just yesterday though, they fought back and brought the series to 2-2, with commanding 5-2 and 8-0 victories. 8-0 was definitely a statement game, where they tied the series and their top players performed to their best.

 

Today, the Vasteras Iron Eagles continued that trend and had another strong game to take the series lead, after being down 2-0.

 

They won Game 5 by a score of 6-0, another big victory. Led by a Willy Myers hat trick and a Xavier Booberry shutout, all of a sudden the Iron Eagles find themselves on the verge of a series win. It's not over yet though, as they still have work to do in Game 6, and possibly 7.
