Bulduray_1 274
Sergey Preobrazhensky and The World Stage Moscow - It’s that time of the season again folks! The bright young prospects of the VHL will be playing in the WJC (World Junior Championship) to showcase and represent their respective region. Our very own Sergey Preobrazhensky has been selected to play with Team Asia. Sergey was very surprised when he got the call from Team Asia’s Head Coach/Manger, @FireballSalad. He was hoping for a quiet offseason to work on his skills, but this opportunity is too good to pass up. So far, Sergey has struggled playing for Team Asia, having only 2 assists with no goals in 8 games played in the group stage. Following that, in the Quarter Finals Game against the USA, Sergey got another 2 assists, with Asia winning 7-6 in a thriller of a game. Sergey has visibly shown frustration on the ice, even going as far as breaking multiple of his sticks on the bench as well as on the ice. This has prompted a big question about Sergey Preobrazhensky: can he handle playing in higher skilled leagues? The WJC has showcased some of the best young talent in the VHL. Critics say that if he cannot succeed in the WJC, why is there any reason to believe he will be successful in the VHLE or VHL? The Underdogs, Team Asia is back on the ice again tomorrow night, hoping to upset Team Canada. Will Sergey silence the critics? This will be a statement game for him tomorrow, only time will tell if he can rise to the occasion. nurx, JB123 and Lemorse7 3 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/111338-sergey-preobrazhensky-and-the-world-stage/ Share on other sites
