JeffD 648
It is the start of a new era in Chicago with the Phoenix almost having a complete roster overturn this offseason. The only players that are currently slated to be returning from the main core last season are long time veterans Lee Xin and Christian Mingle who are both entering their final seasons. So that may raise the question who should fans be looking forward to seeing in the Chicago jersey this coming season? Probably the most exciting name will be first round pick from S79 Sunrise van de Schubbekuteveen @Thunfish who will be making their Victory Hockey League debut this season. The scoring winger will be paired up with the aforementioned Lee Xin and Christian Mingle which are the only other forwards currently listed on the Chicago roster. One thing that is for sure is it will be strange for Chicago fans to see anyone other than Jean Pierre Camus between the pipes for the team. Camus was the team’s first ever draft pick back in S73 and the team has since never had a different starting goaltender. While they currently do not have another goalie on the roster there will be someone new at that position for the first time in eight years.
