Heading into the World Juniors, Saku Kotkakoivu was one of the VHL's top prospects, and will be up in the VHL next season with the Calgary Wranglers. Before that, however, Saku made his way to the World Juniors where he played for Team Europe.

Ultimately, Europe made it all the way to the Gold Medal Game and lost, earning Silver. It was a hard fought battle in a 4-2 loss, and Europe has nothing to be ashamed of.

Saku Kotkakoivu ended up being the top player in the round robin, with 6 goals and 9 assists, for 15 points in 8 games. He was a top player in most of the individual categories, showing off his skills before he heads over the VHL, after a strong VHLE Championship season as well. His medal round wasn't bad either, where he had 5 points in 2 games while earning Silver.

"I tried my best at the World Juniors, and I only have good things to say about my team. Despite silver, I'm proud of what we all did out there on the ice."
