After a bit of confusion in the VHL during the off-season , the players we're back in "real" action this week. After winning the bronze medal with the U.S.S.R team at the S34 World Cup , Evgeny Namestnikov is looking to improve his game compared to last season. It started really slow for the Russian. Namestnikov didn't do a lot for the Legion during during the Pre-S35.The Legion prospect compiled a dissapointing 0+0=0 in 2 games agaisnt Vasteras and Davos. He sticked to his gameplay and hit every player that he could with 4 hits during those two games. The Legion started the season with two games. Seattle and Quebec were their opponents. Agaisnt Quebec , Namestnikov scored his first goal of the campaign (Legion's first goal of the season) in a 4-2 loss. He finished the game with a -1 ratio , 1 hit and 1 shot blocked. In a victory agaisnt the Bears , Namestnikov scored his second goal of the season , aslo combining a hit , 6 shots and a +2 ratio. He's up to a good start and all the city of Toronto is hoping that he's going to keep compiling the points.. and his huge hits. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
