DollarAndADream 3,356
Saku Kotkakoivu has started off decent in the VHL so far, after some high expectations coming off of a strong VHLE and World Juniors performance. So far in the VHL, Saku has 7 points in 9 games. Within those 7 points are 4 goals and 3 assists, which shows his strong all-around play, and he isn't just a pure goal scorer. On top of those points are his 7 hits and 6 shot blocks. He of course doesn't excel in those areas, but those numbers show that he does not shy away from them. We caught up with Saku Kotkakoivu after practice today to get his thoughts: "While I do like the praise I have gotten for my accomplishments thus far, I don't think I've done enough. I want to be a big contributor out there, and my 7 points aren't showing that so far. I think I am capable of much more, and coach is definitely giving me the minutes to do that. I think I have a lot more offense in me to give, so my current production isn't good enough in my eyes." Well there you have it. Analysts and fans alike should look for Saku to only get better.
