Record Breaking Season in London, Again

Last season, we saw That Dude take over as London's best current forward, a role that had been held by The Terrible Trivium for pretty much all of our existence. Well, last season, That Dude became the first player in franchise history to score over 100 points in a single season, plateauing at 106 points. This season, he's on track to push that record even further and capture another on the way. With 14 games left to play, the centre has already scored 103 points, so it's safe to say that he'll absolutely destroy the previous mark. He has also scored 46 goals, 4 removed from beating Kevin King's 49 goals. Incidentally, he'd also become the first player in franchise history to score 50 goals in a single season. Again, he should not only beat that record, but crush it completely. At his current pace, it wouldn't be surprising to see him reach 55 goals and 125 points.

 

And while franchise records are fun to keep track of, especially for a franchise still young like ours, beating a league record is on another level. Tater Tot is on pace to smash the record for most shots against in a single season - and probably for most saves as well, though for some reasons, only the former is tracked on the index. In fact, Tot has already received an astounding 3,544 shots through 58 starts, an average of 61.1 shots per game. He only has 6 games left to start, with the backup set to play the remaining 8, but he only needs 87 more shots against to beat SEA G's, according to the index. Now I know the index doesn't track seasons 1 through 20 or something like that, but hey, until anyone can prove someone become seasons 1 and 20 had over 3,700 saves in a season, I'm going to choose to believe that Tater Tot absolutely holds that record.
