Rookie's all over the league are doing everything they can to prove to their VHL teams that they made the right choice drafting them.

Training camp just started, and the young guns are working hard at it. From pull-ups, to bench-press, and 40-yard sprints to vertical jumps, the VHL GM's are trying to see just how tough, talented, and hard working there draft picks are. The activities are taking place over the course of 3 days at the combine bubble, located in Toronto, Ontario. Apparently the work outs are great, and the food is even better.

Jay Saucey weighed in at 220lbs at his physical. That's a lot of meat on the bones for a guy who's 5' 6"! When asked about training camp, Saucey had this to say:

Quote

"All of the strength exercises have a been great so far! Personally, I can't say the same thing about the physical exercises though... a 40 yard sprint at 220lbs feels like 400 yards. I'm just glad I stay in the crease when I'm working my 9-5".

With training camp coming to a close, and the VHL, VHLE, and VHLM drafts complete, the players are excited to get on the ice. The seasons just around the corner, and the players have more skills and conditioning to bring to the table on puck drop.
