Yeah if it was "correct" I would have put "Jag försöker att inte..." instead of "Försöker att inte...". But that's way too formal for a hockey interview. Same thing with the other sentence, would have been "Jag vill alltid..." but dropped the "Jag" to make it informal.

 

I could technically have replaced it with "man" which would make it distancing use of sentence structure. Pretty commonly used to basically make it sound like whatever is going on is our of your control. Effectively the same as using "you" instead of "I" when talking about yourself. "You can't win every game / Man kan inte vinna varje match" instead of "I can't win every game / Jag kan inte vinna varje match".
