Ninetyfourgoalie 168
With the recent criticism of Mason Richardson that has seen him not only falling from first overall but even all the way to fourth has led to a lot of discussion about potential destinations and issues with players refusing to play for certain teams. Ultimately, this discussion has seen players like Thomas O'Malley, Tyler Cote, and Jerrick Poole see a rise in draft stock. As a result, Jerrick Poole has decided to release a statement to GMs who may be considering taking him in the VHL Entry Draft. No, I'm not going to refuse to play for any team. That's just stupid in my opinion. But this doesn't mean I will just re-sign after my rookie contract just because you drafted me. Assuming I am drafted in the top four, I'll be going to a team that is likely rebuilding. My goal in the VHL is to win some cups and if I don't think the team I'm on has any direction or is progressing towards becoming a contender, I see no reason to stick with the team, especially if they didn't win anything while I was there. But I think that mostly goes without saying. So to end on a positive note, I'm looking forward to the draft and hope I can become a big part of a successful team in the coming seasons. And remember, it probably will make a difference if I actually talk to a GM in advance of the draft boubabi 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/11778-jerrick-poole-responds-to-mason-richardson-criticism/ Share on other sites
