Draft Q&A With Dogwood Maple

With the draft in just a few days, we sat down with former Miami Marauder Dogwood Maple to get his take on the event.

 

Q - Dogwood, will you be attending the draft in person? Why or why not?
A - Of course!  I wouldn't miss it for the world.  Even if I have to wait around for my name to get called, it's one of the most important moments in my career. And it only happens once for VHLM!  No way would I miss that.

 

Q - How has the scouting process gone so far?
A - Let me just say that I've loved the scouting process. It's been a lot of fun to get to know some of the GMs in the league and talk shop with them.

 

Q - Time to put you on the spot - who do you think drafts you?
A - But that would ruin the fun!  This is one of the few truly unpredictable nights for hockey, so why spoil it?

 

Q - And last question.  For teams out there who are thinking of selecting you, why should they?
A - I work hard, I love hockey, and no matter which team I end up on, my goal will be to bring home a championship.  If they don't like those attributes, then they should look elsewhere for a player.
