Greg_Di 1,022
For the first time in his career, Tom Eagles, has been traded from the Wranglers to the London United. Tom will be entering his final season and with a rebuild in Calgary, the team moved him on so that he could chase a cup before he hands up his skates. " I always told Calgary I am a team player first and will be happy if they want to keep me to finish out my career or move me for assets to help the rebuild" said Tom " It was always an open process and I had great discussion with GM Ricer before and after the trade and I appreciate how open things were with this trade" Tom Eagles is coming off a Jake Wylde trophy as the best defensive defensman in the VHL and he will be hoping to carry that form on into Europe in London. "While I am said leaving my home of 7 years in Calgary, I am excited for the opportunity in London and to help lead that time to a potential cup this season. They have a very solid team and have a great chance of going all the way. It will also be my first time playing in Europe since my junior days so that will be exciting. I look forward to it and hitting the ice with my new team-mates" Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/118795-eagles-traded/ Share on other sites
