Minnesota Thunder: An Expansion Idea

I am going to use this article to go over a specific expansion team  proposal. Every since the Minnesota Storm left the VHLM returned to Olso and joined the VHLE, one of the states most associated with the sport of ice hockey has no VHL hockey at all. I believe that if VHL hockey is to return to the State of Hockey, that the team should be known as the Minnesota Thunder. Here is why. The Storm name in both Oslo and Minnesota has a strong association with Thor, Norse god of storms, thunder and lightning. I have talked about that before. The Thunder name retains this association in a way that is not a copy of what came before. The Thunder name was also used by VHL teams in the past. Specifically, it was used by Stockholm's first VHL club in S1 as well as a controversial relcation of a Scandinavian team later. A location and name with connections to the same place produce a perfect combination in my mind at least.
