Brief Look into the Top of the VHLE

A quick examination of the top of the VHLE standings, almost a quarter of the way into the season:

 

               1 – Bratislava Watchmen – The Watchmen have an 11-4-1 record, with a +5 goal differential. Their 43 goals for ranks 5^th out of the 8 teams, while their 28 goals against is 2^nd best, so they're largely being carried by their defense.

 

               2 – Vasteras Iron Eagles – The Iron Eagles are sporting a 10-3-3 record, tying Bratislava for the league lead with 23 points. With 45 goals for and 35 against, their +10 differential is second best in the league, and they have the stingiest defense.

 

               3 – Istanbul Red Wolves – The Red Wolves have the leagues most potent offense with 56 goals for, and the third fewest goals allowed with 39, giving the team a league-best +17 differential. They trail Bratislava and Vasteras by 1 point in the standings, as Istanbul is the only team in the VHLE without a Loser Point.
