Brief look at VHLE scorers

For a quick hit FAN 590 piece this week, I wanted to examine the top three goal scorers in the VHLE. In order, we have Bob Chicoine, Phoebe Bridgers, and Connor Wilson.

 

1 - Leading the league with 24 goals is Bob Chicoine of the Geneva Rush. He also has 237 shots on goal, which gives him a 10.126 shooting percentage. More on that in a moment.

 

2 - Phoebe Bridgers of Vasteras is second, with 18 goals on 187 shots, for a 9.625 shooting percentage.

 

3 - Finally, Connor Wilson of the Istanbul Red Wolves, who has 17 goals on 182 shots, good for a 9.340 shooting percentage. 

 

So, what do we have here? Looking purely at the numbers, it would seem that Geneva treats Chicoine as a trigger man for their highly potent offense. Chicoine is clearly the quantity shooter, firing the puck an average of 7.4 times a game. Compare that to Connor Wilson, who shoots 5.69 times a game. What's the point of this article? Nothing really. I just wanted to highlight three of the VHLE's best shooters.
