Bern Guardians: A VHLE Relocation/Expansion Idea

When writing about the past, inspiration for the future often strikes. Upon learning that Switzerland has a long standing democracy, perhaps the Royals isn't as fitting of a nickname as I first thought. In thinking of a better nickname I chose Guardians as my replacement. The nickname has two meaning tying into Switzerland as a whole alought one of them is a stretch. The obvious meaning is a reference to the Swiss Guard, the famous proectors of the Pope. While there has been no direct connection to Switzerland and the honor gard that bares its name for, it is a interesting bit of history that works well for a team nickname. Even the diplomatic stance of might be able to be tied into this team name though it would be a stretch. I do believe that VHLE hockey is comming to Bern sooner rather than later. This is my idea of what that team could be.
