AJW 2,306
What a series this has been. Whenever Moscow thinks they have us, we come crashing right back to tie the series. But tonight is do or die, game 7 of the VHL finals. This is the first finals Williams has been a part of. After a rough 3 seasons of playoffs prior in Los Angeles, Williams has only really known quick exits. Now with a strong roster on the Seattle Bears, there is a lot of hope and confidence flowing through his mind that they can win it all. Williams has been very productive these playoffs. Quiet in the first round, but explosive in the second and third. With 12 goals and 22 points, Williams knows that he is playing his game the way he should and should stay focused for the team. He needs to do his part and trust that his teammates have his back tonight as they have been all series long. Williams is a new leader to this team and has lots of eyes on him to bring Seattle success. This is not new though, as Williams had a monster 52 goal, 106 points regular season for the Bears. He was extremely excited to be traded to the Bears this past off-season after a Los Angeles rebuild and was ready to work. He knows what this team is capable of and knows what they have accomplished before. Williams is ready to make some more history for the Bears. I think the predictions for this game 7 will be a 2 or 3 goal difference. One team will find their legs and take control of the game from the start. If Moscow has Idaho playing his best, Seattle will struggle since we know Moscow has the depth to back him up and also Emeritus will be between the pipes shutting things down. If Idaho and the Menace are quiet off the rip, I have a strong feeling we will be able to control this game. For Seattle, Williams, Chara, Hogan, Petrenko and Torq have all been key contributors to these playoffs with solid point production. Once we all get buzzing it is hard to stop us from pumping teams to the ground. Then of course we have the Mike Smith of the VHL, Em Em Flex, in net repeatedly having strong performances and saving our butts when we need him. You can not predict who will win this game as both teams have gone back and forth all series long as well as all regular season while battling for first place in the league. I am excited to see the outcome of this one. Now for what I want to happen. It is obvious that I want Seattle to win since my player is on the team. Since joining the league with this player as a first gen, I have not yet won any type of award whether it is individual or team. I would love to hoist the cup and get a taste of some sort of victory. Bana is also coming down to the end of his career (so he says). After a long GMing career with lots of success and multiple cups with the Bears, this roster and this season would be a cherry on top for him to put another Continental Cup up on his display. Throughout this season I have seen how great of a GM and a person his is, so it would be sweet to see him win in my eyes. There is also another GM I would not mind seeing winning the cup and unfortunately that is the GM of the Moscow Menace. Spartan has built an impressive roster these past four seasons, bringing his team to the finals every time. He was unlucky to witness the Vancouver Meta Wolves each time which resulted in loses. I really do think Spartan deserves a cup after everything but it is so tough to think that when you are going up against the guy. In the end, I want my player to win the cup more than both of these guys, but whichever GM wins it this season I will be happy for them.
