Tyler Busser cozies up to his new teams

     At first before draft rankings were released and scouts were writing down names it was an uncertain Busser who sat in the midst of more noteable names who didn't have a X on their resume from getting into trouble, the potential was there but not yet tapped into. Motivation was also another big red flag for teams who needed a boost in the locker rooms and Tyler at times during press conferences, the coaching stuff also noted to anyone who asked that he didn't even know where this younger hockey player even lived! It took some time for the second generation forward to get going but the lack of need at his position was always at the back of Busser's mind after every passing day, eventually he opened up a little more before the end of the season so fast forward to the first phone call..

 

Ring ring ring, it's the Legion calling. Yes the team that called Tyler's name 9th overall was also the first team to show interest and after a few days go by four more rings! Moscow, Geneva, Oslo and Seattle, since being part of a european team before the VHL Moscow, Oslo and Geneva weren't an option and having a family full of Bears fans the favorite option was Toronto, no lie! What's that a last minute couple rings?? It's the Red Wolves looking to see if he can play down next season.. Well why not he said and before he could sit down another team from europe calls, the call was brief after already making up his mind

Now we are at the cozying up part, although it was a little rough with trying to get hyped for the future in the end teams around his pick range showed interest and some so apart from being all over the place Busser was able to level up and earn even more being more hyped up than he expected. Meeting teammates, counting numbers and looking at the future is a recipe for success and the teams that drafted him made a good choice

 

It hasn't been long since the drafts and all the off seasons festivities are now over, including a stellar effort in the 3 on 3 tournament from Busser that should help prepare for another season of hockey.. With a little bit of keeping busy and staying away from too many chats Tyler has found his stride like he once had at the beginning of his journey and has been a constant voice in both locker rooms. We believe after seeing him capture a lost flame that anything from this point should be easier than ever! Next up is a season in the VHLE where he has the chance to be a top dog and hopefully rise that success into the VHL the following season
