Bulduray_1 274
Opening Week in the VHL! Moscow - This past week has opened another chapter in many people’s VHL career. It was now officially the start of VHL’s eighty fourth season. Reaction around the league was met with a lot of positivity heading in, many of the players were excited and determined to show what they got. While the fans sit back and enjoy watching the season unfold, praying that their team will have a shot at a deep playoff run. Almost every VHL team has reached ten games played. Just from those ten games, we’ve come to see many thrilling performances from players and teams alike. One things for certain though, all sixteen VHL teams will be in for a treacherous journey as they battle it out on the ice For the Moscow Menace, they look to bounce back once again from a heartbreaking year. This time, without some of their major players that helped them along the way previous seasons ago. Most notably, the long time serving captain of the Menace, Duncan Idaho would be headed to D.C as waved goodbye to him once and for all. Although in an awkward situation, the new-look Moscow Menace are still determined to see the same regular season success as last year. Many of the organization’s players and coaches still believe that this team still has what it takes to dominate this season. After all, they still have some big name veterans they can still rely on. Such as the famous Papa Emeritus, who is known for his consistently amazing seasons as a goaltender for the Menace. As well as Hard Markinson, who has been a long-time star player for this team. He’s known for his great physicality, while being a spectacular playmaker on the offensive side of the puck. “It’s always nice to have a fresh start,” spoke Moscow’s Centerman Sergey Preobrazhensky. “Although this team may look a little different from what it did last year. I still know we still have it in us to go far this season. So far, we’ve started out on the right foot, I know as a team we are in the right mindset, we want to win.” Sergey added. Preobrazhensky is met with a familiar spot as last year, playing behind veteran The Seabasstard. He’s on a fairly decent offensive pace so far with eleven points in ten games. He looks to improve on these numbers in the near future, hopefully beating out his last year point totals. So far for the Menace, they’ve been keeping up with the top dogs in the European Conference. Slotting themselves forth in the overall conference standings. But this Moscow team will know that they will have to go above and beyond this season to get back into the playoffs as fan favorites again. Although it is still early in the season, players still want and expect more out of their team. They are incredibly inspired to regain their former title as Conference Champs and hopefully have another shot at the Continental Cup. Greg_Di 1,028
Review: It's great reading articles about the VHL. I haven't really been keeping up with the VHL since I am playing in the E and focusing on that, so its great to see how things are going and especially with Moscow. This was a great article, perfect length, had a picture and used quotes from your player. Well done, keep up the great work. 10/10 Bulduray_1 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/123525-opening-week-in-the-vhl/#findComment-935679 Share on other sites
