Greg_Di 1,038
Just like we have brought you exclusive interviews in the past with Greg and Tom Eagles, we now bring you an exclusive interview with the next in line in the Eagles dynasty. Today we sit down with Henry Eagles and speak to him about his start in the VHLM and his play so far. R: Welcome Henry, It's a pleasure to have you and to continue this streak of exclusive Eagles interviews!HE: Thank you for having me and its a pleasure to sit here and continue this long tradition R: Let's talk a little about your start in this league, how did that go?HE: I started in the VHLM and signed with Houston on a 16 day contract to get my foot in the door. I think I played well with 34 points in 16 games and at that point I realized that when I play my full season, I need to start in the E where the competition is much more difficult. The M was just to easy for me and knowing the name on my back, I wanted a challenge. R: That challenge has lead you to Bratislava, how are you finding it playing with them in the E?HE: The E is a much more difficult challenge then the M. The players here are bigger, faster and more skilled. It has taken me some time to adapt but I think I am finally finding my groove. I have scored 3 goals so far and consistently taking tips from my coaches and team-mates on how to improve. I think over the next few months you will see a much improved player and someone who can dominate in the E R: Do you already know your intentions for the upcoming draft? Will you want to stay in the VHL or come back down to the E for another season?HE: I haven't made that decision yet and that will be a discussion I will have with the team that drafts me. Me personally I would prefer to stay up in the VHL but I know I may need some more development time. I guess it all depends how I progress this season and if the team will think I will be ready to make that next jump. R: What are your predictions for where you will be drafted?HE: It is still a long way to go to the draft but I think the top 3 will be battled out between myself, Matt Murdock and Daniel Weaver. You can make a case for Phil Strasmore as well. It will definitely be an interesting draft and my goal is to be the highest ever drafted with the Eagles name. That means I need to be drafted in the top 2. Will that happen? I don't know yet, I will have to continue training hard and working on my game in the E. R: That is all the time we have today, best of luck to you in the upcoming season with Bratislava and all the best for a top 2 finish in the draft!HE: Thank you kindly and see you next time!
