Hello and welcome back once again!! We are back for season 84 and it's gonna be different for Ori this season. For those out of the loop, Ori was picked entered free agency and was picked up by the Seattle Bears. A fresh start for the Canadian center and he hasn't disappointed with the team. He's scored in 13 of the 18 games he's played so far with the Bears, and while he was snake bit in terms of goal scoring he made up for it by finishing over an assist per game. Game 14 saw him have a massive five assists game, something Ori have never done before in his career. Season 82 is still Ori's best start to a season with 20 assists and 3 goals, he's not far off with this season though with only one less assist for one less point. While Ori's ability to give apples to his teammates is unquestionably a big part of his game his lack of goals, especially as he didn't score his first goal till game 15, is concerning. More so as he has been practicing his shot with the help of a teammate. Ori wants to stay in the 20 goal range if not push for 30, he'll have to pick up his game in the next three quarters for that to happen. For faceoffs Ori is his usual self, he's taken 762 and won 443 of them for a 58.14% percent of them. This is more in line with last season but it makes sense, the Bears have more than just Ori capable of taking faceoffs. We we're also able to talk to GM Bana about snatching Ori up in free agency.

After the S79 draft we learned Ori was someone you were considering. How does it feel to pick him up 5 years later in free agency?

"We really did want them in the draft back in 79, however, we also knew Helsinki had their eyes set heavily on them too. In that draft, the players we ended up getting became champions. Would it have happened that way had it when somewhere else? Who knows."

"As for getting Ori, it feels good. We really wanted him and to be able to bring him into Seattle as a developed, elite player is a privilege we haven’t taken lightly. We’re very excited."

Are you happy with his play on the ice? Do you feel he adds a new dynamic to the team that it didn't have last season?

"He adds a lot of things to the team. He’s been an assist machine out there for us. He’s primarily a playmaker and that’s a dynamic this team has been craving despite the rest of the league loving up on the meta. The biggest thing he adds to the team though is his locker room presence. He’s a really good person. He’s a lot of fun. Extremely active and supportive of the bears and his teammates. We literally could not ask for more from him. He’s the whole package and I’m very proud he’s part of the Seattle family."
