Rhynex Entertainment 487
SITR VHL Birthday Edition @theme week Host: Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the VHL Network, Stick In The Rink! We come to you live at NBC Studios in Manhattan, New York! With the VHL Season 84 Trade Deadline coming right up around the corner, we have a very special episode of the VHL Network, Stick In The Rink! No, I am not talking about the upcoming trade deadline. We are talking about the Big 15 Years Birthday of the VHL! Yes! You heard that correctly! VHL is now 15 Years Old! Wow! Where have I been all this time, to think VHL is already 15 years young now! I've only started my position here in the VHL Network in July 2020, just a tad over 2 years ago! In fact my first show was on July 14, 2020 where I've been following, really just one person's growth and career in the VHL, your beloved New York Americans alumni and Franchise player, Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment! Rhynex Entertainment is your New York Americans' elite franchise leader, retiring as 3rd in Franchise History in Goals (272) while playing a season less than your franchise 1 and 2 in Jukka Hakkinen and Xin Xie Xia, 7th in Franchise history in Assists (358), and 4th in Franchise points, where 1, 2, and 3 each had 72 more games played (honourably mentioning your franchise points leader Conner Low!). Rhynex Entertainment amassed a terrific 630 points and 1008 hits over 504 career games with your New York Americans over the span of 7 seasons between Season 75 and Season 81. And today, we have the legend, Rhynex entertainment, himself, here in the studios! Please welcome, Rhynex Entertainment! (Loud generic cheering and clapping sounds as Rhynex Entertainment step out through the sliding doors) Welcome Rhynex! Thank you for finding time to come in today! Rhynex Entertainment: Thank you for having me back! It is good to be back on the show here in New York! (Rhynex Entertainment shakes hands with the Host) Host: The pleasure is all mine! Today we will be discussing about the 15 Years of the VHL and wishing the VHL a grandiose Happy Birthday! Rhynex Entertainment: Sounds exciting! I started in Season 73 in the VHLM and it's only been 2 years since we've reached Season 84. To think there's already a 15 years history of the VHL. Quite fascinating! We've had 11 seasons in 2 years, looks like we've been keeping a natural pace. And here people are complaining about not having games go by quickly enough, etc. etc. The VHL has been doing the same thing, at the same speed for a good whole 15 years. Let's leave the tradition be and let it continue at the correct pace! Host: Well said! As you could probably see, the VHL have evolved over the years as technology improved and people come and go over the past decade and a half. How do you feel the direction of the VHL is going and about the evolution history of the VHL? Rhynex Entertainment: Well, I haven't really been here long enough to give you a proper response. Host: And neither have I, let's discuss about what we know and what your thoughts are. Rhynex Entertainment: Well, the VHL started a long time ago dating back to the prehistoric fossil ages where there were a limited number of players and teams. As we move forward in the timeline, more teams and leagues enter the scope of the VHL. To go along with the Professional hockey league of the VHL, the minors and development league, the VHLM was created. The Junior World Championships took flight as people from different cultures and countries starting playing in the VHL. As players grew up, they head to the competitive professional VHL . A World Championships tournament began to develop as players from different nations try their best to show the world that they are the best. A tournament where the best of each nations play every 4 years! We also found ourselves an offseason Victory ProAm league to help players stay in shape over the offseason. And then the VHL expanded further to add in another development level for players to get ready for the VHL grind. We have the creation of the JST, Junior Showcase Tournament, played in-between seasons during the offseason, and the VHLE, a fantastic development league similar to the American Hockey League is for the National Hockey League. I personally have not played in most of these leagues, but rumours are, those who do not develop properly in the VHLE and jump straight into the VHL top tier professional league, they may find themselves in a sticky situation in their sophomore season when their competitive class come up more developed to play their rookie season. Some may call it, the sophomore slump curse. Others may call it just underdevelopment. Host: You forgot about the evolution of the league to the Hybrid System to help goalies cope with the ever fast and furious goal scoring offense and defense. Rhynex Entertainment: Yes. The Hybrid System. A system of play still unbeknownst to myself, and very much a strange new world for others. I believe we're in the second season of play with this new strategy. A work in development. But certainly a good change in pace. It gives a bit of a new separation to skaters. Players are just getting stronger and stronger, sturdier and sturdier. Just lack mobility but are effective. Others are more mobile yet ineffective. We'll only see the fruition of those seeds planted last season come to life in a few more seasons. Maybe when the VHL turns 16! Host: Tell me about the state of the New York Americans and how you, as a Franchise player, developed a pretty nice VHL career. Rhynex Entertainment: Back in my day, well I can't really say that. It really hasn't been that long ago. New York has been in a bit of a rebuilding trend. They have a lot of good prospects coming up in coming seasons, and they already have a stud defensive pairing who are just in their prime. Maybe clearing off some older prospect contracts for more future picks and focus on development and scouting for the next few seasons. Restock in a wealth of youth in every position and they should be good to contend, but a definite and proper refresh might be imminent at this time. There's not much to talk about for my career. I had a good run, plenty of good seasons that were not good enough. We had a good team that just couldn't get out of a strong North American conference at that time. Host: Wouldn't you say you had a spectacular rookie and final season? You led all rookies in Season 75 and had a tremendous 63 goals and 127 points final season in Season 81! You would have won the Rookie of the Year with your production in any other season! Rhynex Entertainment: You could say, I came into the VHL strong and left brilliantly. But those were some forgettable seasons. Not much came to show for them. We were in the midst of rebuilds in those two seasons. Statistically they were also my worse two seasons as a team, with a -13 and a -35 season, respectfully. At the end of the day, we missed the playoffs in both seasons and we did not win any awards either. But, the future will be bright here in New York! Just wait through another wave and the future is limitless. Host: A limitless future sounds pretty good to me! We are out of time for today. Thank you for coming in today, Rhynex! Look forward to speaking with you again!
