Theme Week / Shark Week

The Discovery Channel has it all wrong.  To think they could put on Shark Week during VHL Theme Week.  If they were smart, then they could have signed a contract with the BOG, and be promoting the VHL.  Let’s get real, how many sharks score goals, check opponents, skate, and get in fights.  OK, I know what you’re about to say, “San Jose Sharks.”  They don’t count.

 

Duncan Idaho would be the highlight of “Raging Bulls,”instead of Johan Gustafson.  He leads the league in points, is top five in assists and goals.  He dominates the ice with hits, shots, and he can withstand the pounding pressure of taking hits.  If Idaho is to be compared to a shark, he’d be the bull shark.

 

There are plenty of other players in the VHL who could be compared to a shark, given their tenacity, speed, and strength.  Perhaps next year we will see the VHL instead of the sharks.
